		<description>This is really interesting. I was surprised to read those statistics and see the discrepancy between the Republican and Democrat Twitter usage. I think it&#039;s a very smart move for the Republicans. As the article said, the younger generation who dominate the social media world, are largely democratic. By having a strong presence on Twitter, Republican officials position themselves to this younger audience as a much more accessible and personable group. I&#039;m not sure it will be entirely enough to sway the feelings of a generation, but it won&#039;t hurt. It will be interesting to see how this plays out for future elections.
