On Thursday, June 26, 451 Marketing hosted “Doing Business in Boston – A Conversation with Mayor Walsh,” where Mayor Martin Walsh and dozens of executives from Boston-based companies were in attendance.
After a brief introduction from A.J. Gerritson, founding partner of 451 Marketing, the Mayor took charge of the podium to lead conversation with a room full of Boston’s most promising executives.
Throughout the conversation, Mayor Walsh shared his plans to improve opportunities for small businesses to grow and succeed in the city of Boston.
After a brief Q & A session with the Mayor, the guests, which included executives from companies including Island Creek Oysters, Shawmut Design and Construction, Consumer United, Synergy Investments, and Boston Sand and Gravel, were able to provide the Mayor with feedback and contribute their own ideas to his plan.
After a valuable exchange of ideas, founding partner Nick Lowe invited Mayor Walsh and guests downstairs to 451 Marketing’s newly expanded office space on the 3rd floor of its 100 North Washington St. headquarters. To conclude the evening, Mayor Walsh officially welcomed the new office space by participating in a ribbon cutting ceremony with the agency’s top management team.
Guests enjoyed a beautiful charcuterie spread from The Dining Room.
The evening was a great success. Boston’s business executives contributed their own expertise to the Mayor’s plans that will ultimately lead to more successful results, as the Mayor will soon begin leveraging his administration in order to begin supporting businesses to start up and grow in Boston.
