Two locations, fifteen horses, countless volunteers, eighteen therapists averaging four lessons a day, six days a week. It’s easy to put any business into numbers, facts, and figures; but, the truth of the matter is that at Bina Farm Center (BFC), the numbers don’t matter. It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve ridden a horse. At BFC, no one who participates in the therapeutic or recreational activities is treated like a number, but rather, an individual with needs as unique as themselves. On Friday, July 31, 6 of us were lucky enough to spend a day volunteering at Bina and showing them how #451cares.
On a rainy and cold morning, a group of us from 451 Marketing headed to spend the day volunteering at the Boston Living Center—a resource hub for residents living with either an HIV positive or AIDS diagnosis.
